Becoming a Buddhist: The Practice of Refuge
with optional Mahayana Refuge Ceremony
Saturday, June 17
11:00am – 4:15pm
In this special day course, we will learn time-honored methods to protect us from difficulties and help us maintain a happy mind throughout all life’s challenges.
More specifically, we will focus on the meaning of being a modern Buddhist. Being a Buddhist allows us to find peace right now and create lasting peace for the future. During this course, we will have the opportunity to deepen our spiritual practice and become an actual Buddhist.
To do this we can engage in the optional traditional Mahayana Buddhist Refuge Ceremony. Taking this vow means we have decided to rely upon Buddhism throughout our life to solve our human problems and become the best person we can be.
