Livestream 21 Lamrim Meditation-a-thon Fundraiser

Meditation-a-thon 2020

As a non-profit organization, Kadampa Meditation Center Philadelphia is financially dependent on donations and class fees. Physically closing our center and cancelling our branch classes and springtime special events has left a large hole in our annual budget. To help fill the gap, we’re excited to announce a very special fundraising event. We are asking for your help to raise $10,000 to cover 3 months of our fixed expenses.

We will be livestreaming all 21 Lamrim guided meditations from The New Meditation Handbook by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from 8am – 6:15pm on Saturday, May 16, 2020. Meditations will be 15 minutes long and will be guided by KMC Philadelphia meditation teachers. There will be a 15-minute break between sessions. The final meditation, Relying Upon a Spiritual Guide, will be guided by Gen Tenzin at 6:00pm.

Corrected Schedule for websiteJoin us for a few sessions or challenge yourself to do all 21! Please register via the link below. You will receive one link for the entire day which you can join and leave as you please.

We ask anyone whose life has been positively changed through their meditation practice and Dharma community to please spread the word and encourage their friends and family to support our meditation center. Consider collecting sponsors for your meditation-a-thon at a suggested donation of $10 per session. A gift in any amount helps and is tax-deductible. The CARES Act provides an extra incentive for charitable gifts; you can take a charitable deduction for gifts up to $300 ($600 for married couples) even if you don’t itemize your deductions on your 2020 tax return. Donations can be made via the form below.

Thank you once again for your generosity and support of Kadampa Meditation Center Philadelphia. We can’t wait for you to join us for a full day of inner peace and calm!
