Training to Deepen Our Meditation Practice

In this series we will explore ways to stabilize and deepen our meditation practice. Buddha taught many methods to improve the quality of our meditation and to help us generate a steady practice.  Parts of the mind such as aspiration, mindfulness, alertness, and non-harmfulness are powerful inner allies that make our meditation strong, focused and meaningful.

These classes are suitable for both beginners and those with more experience. Everyone is welcome.

Taming our Wild and Unpeaceful Mind

If the deluded wild elephant of our mind is not subdued, it will create much suffering for us as it runs between objects of attachment, anger, and jealousy. We do not always possess the ability to abandon our negative thoughts the moment they arise, or to transform them into something beneficial. In this course we’ll discuss how training in mindfulness and alertness can help tame our wild elephant mind so that we may generate many positive qualities, bring happiness to others, and maintain a peaceful mind.

Everyone Welcome.
