Service Description
Developing a Heartfelt Practice The Importance of Logic and Reasoning in Meditation Saturday, August 16th • 10:30am - 1:30pm • $25 Meditation can sometimes seem like a method to empty our mind of thoughts in order to become peaceful. But this way of meditating will only work temporarily. Buddha taught how our thoughts are internal paths – when channeled in a beneficial direction, and supported by logic and reasoning, they can actually guide us to a stable heartfelt experience of peace and relaxation. This half-day course will be guided by Gen Kelsang Wangpo, a visiting guest teacher from Kadampa Meditation Center Texas. He will give teachings and guide meditations on the use of contemplation in a meditation practice.
