Summer/Fall 2022 Fundraiser
Dear Sangha Members,
We are excited to provide an update on the progress of our move to Old City and announce the kick-off of our Summer/Fall 2022 Fundraiser! We received the keys to 47-49 N 2nd Street on June 1 and our volunteers have been hard at work preparing our beautiful new space! Our last class at Pine Street will be Sunday Morning Meditation with Gen Chogyop on June 26.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 as we transform a former retail space into a peaceful, modern Kadampa Meditation Center. We are making the following improvements:
- A beautiful new shrine and modern Buddhist art
- Refurnished meditation room with new paint and carpeting
- New chairs and meditation cushions
- Unintrusive audiovisual equipment to continue providing high-quality hybrid classes
- A modern bookstore with attractive offerings
- A comfortable lounge area to facilitate social time after classes
As you know, Kadampa Meditation Center Philadelphia is a nonprofit organization that is financed entirely by its members and supporters, and wholly run by volunteers. We are so grateful for your generous giving to support this move and transition; we appreciate any financial support you can give, large or small. It is because of you that we can share Venerable Geshe-la’s special presentation of Buddha's teachings for the modern world and be a beacon of peace in Philadelphia. May everyone find ultimate peace and happiness.
With love & gratitude,
Gen Chogyop, Resident Teacher
Eve Miller, Education Program Coordinator
Sarah Frew, Administrative Director
Kadampa Meditation Center Philadelphia is a 501(c)3

As of June 23rd we're at 47% of our goal!!!
